Travertine Tiles

Travertine tiles are proving more and popular by the day. Often mistaken for marble or limestone, travertine is a softer stone which offers a very popular modern look to any home or work place. Often used as bathroom tiles, in wet rooms, hallway floor tiles and kitchen tiles to name but a few.

Travertine range from white, creamy ivory colours (commonly referred to as Chiaro), yellow, beige and walnut browns (often referred to as Noce) making it a wonderfully diverse stone for architects, builders, tilers or DIY enthusiasts.  Whilst the rock is forming, travertine is subject to hot gases which cause pitted holes throughout the rock. These holes are generally filled in at the quarry or factory but tiles are available with the holes unfilled (see our Rustico, Tumbled Light and Tumbled Noce travertine tile ranges)
